Voters rejected Sunday sales of alcohol by a single vote in the central Georgia town of Jeffersonville.

The Telegraph of Macon reports that 89 people voted in favor of the measure and 90 voted against it.

The vote was one of several around Georgia on Tuesday, when many cities and counties added Sunday alcohol sales to their ballots for the Republican presidential primary.

Votes in many metro Atlanta cities and counties were not nearly as close, with many of them approving Sunday sales by relatively wide margins.
