A Georgia Air Force Base says it stands to gain $10 billion in business from the Obama administration's plans to sell new F-15 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia.

Robins Air Force Base officials say the deal should bring up to 85 jobs for civilians and contractors at the middle Georgia base south of Macon. The sale announced Dec. 29 calls for the U.S. to send 84 new F-15 jets to Saudi Arabia and to upgrade 70 planes in its existing fleet.

Spokeswoman Chrissy Miner says Robins Air Force Base will oversee the upgrades on the older F-15s and will also ensure the entire fleet is properly maintained. She says the hands-on work will be done in Saudi Arabia.

The White House says total deal is worth $29.4 billion.
