Mike wanted to know about the origins of Virginia Highland, a neighborhood east of Midtown.GPB's Rickey Bevington on Virginia-Highland

Though it’s often referred to as Virginia Highlands the neighborhood's official name is Virginia Highland, without the "s."

This name comes from the fact that Virginia Avenue and North Highland Avenue intersect in the middle of the neighborhood.

The area stands out for its small-town feel and walkability, and is home to many different restaurants and bars.
