Delta Temporarily Suspends All Flights From U.S. To China

The Atlanta-based Centers For Disease Control and Prevention recommends avoiding all nonessential travel to China.

Delta Airlines is suspending all flights from the U.S. to China until April 30.

The Atlanta-based company made the decision due to ongoing concerns about the coronavirus.

The last China-bound flight from the U.S. will leave February 3. The last return flight back to the U.S. departs from China on February 5.

Delta is offering a change fee waiver to all customers affected. The company operates 42 weekly flights between the two countries.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is working with the  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to monitor travelers with symptoms of the coronavirus and a travel connection with China.

The CDC has established 20 quarantine stations across the country including in Atlanta.

The agency recommends avoiding all nonessential travel to China.
