The Secretary of State office is looking into dozens of incidents of election fraud from this summer’s primary.

The state has launched a criminal investigation into alleged voter fraud in south Georgia.

In Brooks County, absentee ballots turned the tide at the last minute for three local seats, including the county commissioner.

Incumbents were in the lead election night until the absentee ballots were counted, then they lost their posts.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is still conducting the probe.

Meanwhile Secretary of State Brian Kemp says his office is looking into about 40 other incidents of election fraud which resulted from more than a hundred of tips from an expanded voter fraud program.

"They’re kind of all over the place, everything from process, you know like no one asked them see photo ID when they went to vote, polls not open on time, and then you have lots of accounts of potential fraud," Kemp says.

Kemp wouldn’t comment on the nature of those investigations until they’re completed.
