Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications will locate its new Americas headquarters in Atlanta.
    
Gov. Sonny Perdue said Friday that the company's decision to open it's doors in Georgia will mean 180 jobs.
    
The Atlanta office will be the hub for the company's regional operations in North America and Latin America.

The company's North America regional headquarters had been located in Research Triangle
Park, North Carolina and its Latin America regional hub operations were based in Miami.
    
The new headquarters in Atlanta will house the executive team, sales and marketing staff, and operations.

Perdue said state economic development officials helped the company settle on Georgia.
