Georgia’s congressional delegation entered their votes Sunday night on healthcare legislation. Nine cast ballots against the bill, with four voting 'yes'.

Of the nine ‘no’ votes, all seven Republican representatives. John Linder of Lawrenceville Sunday night called the legislation “...a plan that will destroy health care for the 85 percent of Americans that are happy”. The 'no' votes included a pair of Georgia Democrats: John Barrow of Savannah, and Jim Marshall of Macon.

The four Democrats voting for the bill: representatives Hank Johnson, John Lewis, and David Scott. Albany’s Sanford Bishop also voted 'yes' after being undecided until just into the weekend. In debate on the House floor Sunday, Lewis called the legislation “a moral obligation.”
