The STEP2 Company is closing its manufacturing plant in Fort Valley. The company notified the 104 employees today. Operations will be shifted to the company's two plants in Ohio. Employees will be able to keep their benefits for sixty days and severance pay based n the amount of time they have been with the company.
STEP2 makes plastic toys for infants and toddlers as well as plastic products for the home. The facility opened in Fort Valley in 2000.
