SCANA Wants To Extend Gas Surcharge
Primary Content

The natural gas provider SCANA Corp. wants to charge Atlanta Gas Light customers an additional $45 million to extend gas lines.
The company is trying to piggyback AGL's plan to charge customers up to one dollar more for the next 13 years to beef up infrastructure around Atlanta.
That plan was recently approved by the Public Service Commission (PSC).
Now, SCANA Corp. wants the Commission to extend the surcharge another three years.
It plans to submit its formal proposal Friday.
A hearing on the issue is set for December and the PSC is scheduled to make its decision mid-January.
