A controversial painting has put the Tubman Museum in Macon in the spotlight.

But the creation of the Tubman as a venue for African-American expression goes back to a former Catholic priest. His name is Richard Keil and GPB Macon's Leah Fleming sat down for a conversation with him at the Tubman where he spoke about race, religion and art.

His new book, forty years in the making, is now out. It's called Lessons Along the Way, Before, During and After the Priesthood.
