In the year 2000, on 14 percent of adults over the age of 65 were online. According to the Pew Research Center, that number jumped to nearly 60 percent by 2013. Once they're online, the Pew study says the internet becomes a major part of seniors' lives. However, those over 65 are still reluctant to use smartphones (only 13 percent do so). Bobbie is host of GPB's new podcast, Generation Nation.
