If you’re looking for life-long learning opportunities, GPB is the place to start. With education at the core of its mission, each year, GPB airs over 3,000 hours of trusted, commercial-free PBS Kids programs designed to encourage children to explore new ideas and develop critical academic skills in literacy, science and math. Programs including Sesame Street, Super Why!, Dinosaur Train, Clifford The Big Red Dog, Curious George and Sid the Science Kid have helped rank PBS Kids programming as the number one source of media content for preschool teachers.

GPB also airs additional educational content for children during our GPB Kids broadcast schedule from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m – 11 a.m. that includes “Slangman’s World,” which teaches foreign language, and fun videos from the popular family group Laughing Pizza that offer positive life lessons.

For middle and high school students, GPB offers a wealth of original programming to assist in the classroom like “Fast Forward,” which encourages students to develop skills in science, technology, engineering and math.

Educators also benefit from GPB. GPB offers the opportunity for professional development through PBS Teacherline and as the online home for learning sessions and webinars on the new Common Core Georgia Performance Standards.
