5 Marines died when their helicopter went down outside San Diego, the military says

"It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that I share the loss of five outstanding Marines," their commander said in a statement. The names of the Marines were not immediately released.

Jacques Yves Sebastien Duroseau, 34, was found guilty of five counts related to gun smuggling charges. Court filings say he wanted to "train the Haitian police, and run for president of Haiti."
