Greenfield said the Vermont ice cream maker "has been silenced, sidelined for fear of upsetting those in power" by Unilever, the multinational corporation that bought Ben & Jerry's in 2000.
Ben & Jerry's alleges its parent company, Unilever, ousted its CEO in retaliation for social media posts supporting progressive causes. The last few years have been a rocky road for the companies.
The recall covers lots of two Suave 24-Hour Protection aerosol antiperspirants with expiration dates through September 2023. It's the latest recall of consumer products linked to the carcinogen.
