On Friday, Brand pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and assault that date back more than 25 years. He says the charges are politically motivated. His trial is set for 2026.

The criminal charges were announced one and a half years after Brand was accused of sexual misconduct by four women in the fall of 2023.
The British entertainer denies the allegations, put forward in a join investigation by the the U.K.'s Sunday Times, The Times and Channel 4.
