GPB evening headlines for December 30, 2024

Tributes to former President Jimmy Carter are pouring in from all over the world and here in Georgia, following his death on Sunday.

As the nation says goodbye to the 39th president, state officials in Georgia are preparing for an influx of mourners coming in Plains.

State funeral services will begin with the Carter family's arrival at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus on Saturday morning.
