No. 5 Georgia pulls off another overtime stunner, beating No. 2 Texas 22-19 for SEC title

Atlanta United fires technical director Carlos Bocanegra during another disappointing season

Carlos Bocanegra has been fired as technical director of Atlanta United. He helped build the club into an MLS champion in just its second season but couldn't get the club back to that level over the past five years. Bocanegra was dismissed with seven games left in another disappointing season.

At the epicenter of U.S. soccer, Atlanta experiences a seminal moment for the Men's National Team

It is a testament to "Soccer City, USA” that just over 59,000 people made it to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to watch the US Men’s National Team take on Panama in Matchday two of the Copa America Thursday. The fans of the red, white, and blue came to a dinner-hour kick and fought traffic plans, rolling road blocks, and detours to see what was a seminal moment in the tenure of head coach Gregg Berhalter and the host country of the tournament.

US Soccer Federation says Weah, other players targets of racist abuse after Copa America loss

Tim Weah and other members of the U.S. national team were targeted with racist abuse on social media after the Americans were beaten 2-1 by Panama in the Copa America. The U.S. Soccer Federation issued a statement saying it was "deeply disturbed with the racist comments made online."
