Those who experienced damage from hurricane Helene have until this Friday to apply for federal aid to help repair their property including homes, businesses or cars -- so far 300 million dollars in aid has reached Georgia. 

An unhoused man killed while th city of Atlanta was clearing an encampment will be laid to rest. Cornelius Taylor lived just blocks from Ebenezer Baptist Church, where his funeral will be held Monday.

Former President Jimmy Carter has won a posthumous Grammy award. He was nominated in the audio book, narration, and storytelling recording category for “Last Sundays in Plains: A Centennial Celebration” which included recordings from his final Sunday School lessons at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia.
