The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals is deciding whether to uphold a lower court ruling that found a conservative voting organization did not violate the voting rights act when it challenged over 360,000 Georgia voter registrations in 2021. 

We’ve passed the halfway point between the 2020 U.S. Census and the 2030 U.S. Census, but the battle over redistricting maps based on the last national headcount is still underway in Georgia. On Thursday, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear arguments about whether or not to enact new maps.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has asked Georgia's highest court to review a lower appeals court's ruling that removed her from the Georgia election interference case against Donald Trump and others.

The Georgia Court of Appeals is expected to take several months to rule on a request from former President Donald Trump and several co-defendants to remove the Fulton County district attorney from the 2020 presidential election interference case.

An execution scheduled for next week would be the first in Georgia in more than four years. The state is trying to move past an agreement made amid the coronavirus pandemic that effectively halted executions.

Last week, three judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit rejected Trump's bid for blanket immunity over acts he allegedly committed while in the White House.
