The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals is deciding whether to uphold a lower court ruling that found a conservative voting organization did not violate the Voting Rights Act when it challenged hundreds of thousands of Georgia voter registrations in 2021.

The Georgia Supreme Court heard arguments Tuesday in a case out of Augusta that could change how public housing landlords are held accountable.

Atlanta’s police chief and members of the department’s Criminal Investigations Division say crime is down in many categories.
