A settlement reached last week in a federal class-action lawsuit against the Georgia Department of Labor has stalled. The labor department withdrew its agreement to settle with the Southern Poverty Law Center in a suit related to pandemic unemployment claims.

Parts of Georgia are under a heat advisory today. Heat indices are expected to reach into the triple digits across north and central Georgia with some areas feeling as hot as 108F.
