Michael Devoe scored 20 points and the Georgia Tech men's basketball team shot 52% after halftime to beat 15th ranked Florida State 80-75 in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament championship. FSU was the number 2 seed in the ACC entering the tournament.

League player of the year Moses Wright added 15 points and eight rebounds for the fourth-seeded Yellow Jackets. Scottie Barnes had 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting for Florida State, which shot 56%. But the Seminoles committed 25 turnovers that led to 31 points for the Yellow Jackets.

Tech hasn't won its first ACC title since 1993 and secured an automatic NCAA Tournament berth to end an 11-year drought. Though expected to make the NCAA tournament on the strength of their regular season play, the Jackets automatically advance with the conference tournament championship win.

Both Georgia Tech and Florida State had shortened runs through the ACC Tournament. The Seminoles quarterfinal game against Duke was canceled because of a COVID-19 positive test for the Blue Devils, while Georgia Tech's semifinal game with Virginia was cancelled because of a similar issue for the Cavaliers.

The victory caps an impressive comeback for the Yellow Jackets whose record was just  9-8 after a loss to Clemson on Feb. 12.
