There's a wealth of live music to see in Savannah this weekend and beyond, along with improv comedy and more. Bill Dawers of Hissing Lawns and the Savannah Morning News and Rachael Flora of Connect Savannah have your guide.Rachael and Bill talk weekend events.

Rachael's picks:

  • Get ready for the Savannah Music Festival at the release party for Southbound's annual Festival Beer. This year, it's an IPA called Wailin' and the party features Roosevelt Collier and Jontavious Willis, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday; $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
  • Laugh out loud as Front Porch Improv launches their new performance space at 210 West Victory Drive. They'll have shows at 8 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with special guests down from Charleston for the Saturday show.
  • Enjoy a community party at the Arts on Waters Block Party, unveiling the latest public art exhibitions in the series and celebrating the Waters Avenue corridor. Along with the new art exhibits, there will be food trucks, music from DJ Jay-Rome and more from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
  • Relax with a beer as the Kernal returns to Service Brewing, playing his signature country stylings at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Bill's picks:

  • Celebrate local art with Sulfur Studios' five-year anniversary exhibit. Called Chroma, it features a whole host of local artists. It's on display through Saturday, with a public reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
  • Rock out at AURA Fest, two nights of underground rock, metal and other heavy music at the Jinx. This year's lineup features Inter Arma, CLOAK, Shehehe and Torche, along with locals Knightsquatch and Sins of Godless Men, among many more, at 7:30 p.m. both Friday and Saturday; $18 each night, $30 weekend pass.
  • Skank away the weekday blues when ska-punk favorites Reel Big Fish come to Victory North. The Life Sucks...Let's Dance! tour also features Big D and the Kids Table and Keep Flying, from 8 to 11 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26; $23.50.
