Atlanta public safety officials have encountered a flying nuisance just days before Super Bowl 53 kicks off at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

A spokesperson for Atlanta's FBI office said Friday they have already confiscated several drones flying within restricted air space.

The Federal Aviation Administration’s public message encourages fans to bring their lucky gameday gear but leave drones at home.

Devices are not allowed to fly within one nautical mile around the stadium and on game day, that expands to 30 nautical miles.

Drone operators could face hefty fines and even jail time.
