On Second Thought for Friday, June 1, 2018
“The Predator” is slashing its way back into theaters this fall. Arnold Schwarzenegger won’t be making a special appearance, but Shane Black, a supporting character from the 1987 movie is now the director.
We sat down with the man under "The Predator" mask, Georgia-native Brian Prince.
He is an illustration artist turned parkour athlete turned Hollywood stuntman. He has been a stuntman in movies like Black Panther, Captain America, and The Walking Dead. We sat down with him today to talk about his journey to Hollywood and what it was like to put on a giant alien suit for work everyday.
We also sat down with well-known author, David Sedaris. He is a pioneer, who was publicly recognized in 1992 when National Public Radio broadcast his essay "SantaLand Diaries". Ten books later, he’s a best-selling author who draws thousands of fans to his public readings. He spoke with OST's host Virginia Prescott about his new book “Calypso” and the personal life history behind it.
We also sat down with The Breakroom Gang to talk about this week's top news stories. On Second Thought host Virginia Prescott sat down with our Breakroom panel — Robbie Medwed, John Bush and Kathy Lohrto debate the topics Georgia is talking about. We covered topics from Roseanne Bar's racist tweets, to the speech an openly gay valedictorian gave at his Catholic high school.
