There's plenty to do this weekend - especially to eat and drink. Claire Sandow of the Tourism Leadership Council and Lauren Cleland of Visit Savannah have some tips.Claire and Lauren share their weekend suggestions.

Lauren's picks:

-You'll find plenty of laughs all weekend at Savannah Comedy Fest. The fun includes an entirely improvised musical, sketch comedy and plenty of hilarious improv. Thursday through Saturday, events lineup here.

-Want to be a more adventurous cook? Try cooking in the great outdoors at Oatland Island's open fire cooking workshop. Spend the day preparing a five-course meal as you learn useful tips about cast iron cookware, firewood and more. Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; $45 adults, $25 children. 

-The Savannah Philharmonic will spend an evening with the grand masters of the Baroque era. Highlights include Bach, Handel, Vivaldi and more, performed at the Lucas Theatre. Saturday, 7:30 p.m.; $15-80.

Claire's picks:

-Get ready to try some of Savannah's best eateries: Savannah Restaurant Week is back. Enjoy a prix-fixe, three-course menu at participating restaurants, including East End Provisions, Kitchen 320, Vic's on the River and many more. Friday through Feb. 4; $30 per person.

-Ready to become an expert mixologist? Ghost Coast Distillery's lead bartender, Sidney Lance, will lead a class in delicious craft cocktail making - featuring Ghost Coast's locally-made spirits. Saturday, 11 a.m.; $40.

-The party continues as local breweries celebrate Georgia Beer Day. Southbound is releasing a new lager Friday. Service will start early with Beer & Yoga before holding a party with live music, new beer releases and pizza from Big Bon. Coastal Empire will hold an oyster roast.

-Celebrate the 76th anniversary of the Mighty Eighth Air Force at the Mighty Eighth's museum. A group of new Air Force recruits will enlist in a special ceremony, and the museum will hold special guided tours of its rarely-seen model airplane collection. Kids can take a class to build their own model planes. Sunday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; $20 for model class.
