Looking to have a fun weekend in Savannah? Mahogany Bowers of Blessings in a Bookbag and Marianne Ganem Poppell of Savannah Master Calendar have some ideas.Mahogany and Marianne offer up their weekend tips.
Marianne's picks:
-You can shop for a cause at Whole Foods Thursday, when five percent of sales will benefit the Forsyth Farmers' Market. Thursday, 7 a.m.-10 p.m.
-Meanwhile, you can eat and drink for a cause at Bar Food, where ten percent of proceeds will go to the Savannah Center for Blind and Low Vision. There will also be a raffle. Thursday, 5-8 p.m.
-Dance your way back in time at the annual Dancing Through The Decades at the Civic Center, benefiting the Savannah Black Heritage Festival. It's a night of throwbacks - to the 60s through the 90s - with raffles and prizes for best line dancing and best dressed (in throwback attire, of course). Friday, 8 p.m.-12 a.m.; $35.
-Explore Savannah's downtown art galleries at the monthly Savannah Art Walk. The festivities kick off with cocktails at the Brice and end with cocktails at the DeSoto. In between, check out the art at more than a dozen participating galleries. Saturday, 2-6 p.m.; free.

-Country singer and Georgia native Cole Swindell brings his Down Home tour to the Stage on Bay Friday. This performance is sold out.
-Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. - and the Savannah community - at the Unity 5K and music festival in Forsyth Park. Come for the run, or just enjoy food and music from C Rashod Williams, Amazing Wassaw Sound Band and more. Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; free for festival, $35 through Thursday or $40 on Friday to run.
-End the weekend on a jazzy note as the Coastal Jazz Association presents Rodney Jordan Quintet at the Westin. Bassist Jordan has played with top jazz acts like Marcus Roberts, Rene Marie and more. Sunday, 7-5 p.m.; $20 general admission, free for CJA members.
