There's plenty to do in Savannah this first weekend of November. Mahogany Bowers of Blessings in a Bookbag and Mia Mance of G-100 have some suggestions.

Mahogany and Mia discuss this weekend's events.

Mia's picks:

-The circus is in town! There are two chances to catch the Garden Bros Circus at the Civic Center. Thursday, 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; $8-34.

-The Savannah Film Festival continues through Saturday, with a range of screenings and panels. Full schedule here.

-Check out the work of local artist Panhandle Slim at Bull Street Labs. The opening reception is Friday for an exhibit running all month. Friday, 6-9 p.m.

-There are still a few chances to catch Rocky Horror Live - the live stage version of the cult favorite - at the Bay Street Theatre. Friday-Sunday, 7:30 p.m.; $20.

-The whole family can enjoy the Fall Fest Carnival at Fort Stewart, featuring games, food, rides and more. Thursday-Sunday, 5-10 p.m.; free.

-The Savannah Speed Classic is over, but the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival continues through Sunday, showcasing cars and planes alike. Full schedule here

-Check out some top-level tumbling at Cheer Savannah's Bow Show, featuring a DJ and sno-cone truck. Sunday, 5-7 p.m.

Mahogany's picks:

-This weekend marks the inaugural Savannah Sisterhood Symposium. It kicks off with a networking mixer at the B. Historic Hotel downtown. Friday, 5:30-9 p.m.; free.

-The symposium continues at the Longshoremen Hall. First it's the C-port Expo, featuring entertainment and kids' activities as well as a lineup of all-female vendors. Saturday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; free. Then things wrap up with the Women's Empowerment Brunch, which will honor 12 women for their leadership in the local community. Sunday, 11 a.m.; $45.

-Runners will take over downtown on Saturday for the annual Rock'n'Roll Marathon. It wraps up in Forsyth Park with a concert by Fitz and the Tantrums. Be sure to check for road closures and parking restrictions during and after the race.
