Savannah's "European Rednecks" Velvet Caravan Head To SXSW

March is a big month for music in the region – from the Savannah Stopover to the Savannah Music Festival underway right now.
The local group Velvet Caravan is in Austin for SXSW, where they will perform Saturday night. Two of the band’s five members, Ricardo Ochoa and Jared Hall, recently joined GPB Savannah’s Sarah McCammon in-studio. Hall surprised the rest of the group by applying for South By Southwest.
Velvet Caravan played as the house band for one of On Second Thought's Savannah shows during the Stopover music festival.
