Final Flight For AirTran
Primary Content

AirTran Airways is no more.
The airline’s final flight departed from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Sunday night.
The airline was known as ValuJet when it was founded in Atlanta in 1992. The company changed its name in the late 90s, following a pair of serious accidents.
Southwest bought AirTran in 2011, for $1.4 billion. AirTran operated as a separate brand until the purchase was finalized.
