Authorities say the Georgia Department of Driver Services has been struggling with a statewide computer outage at licensing and testing centers across the state.

A software glitch either shut down or slowed computers on Tuesday. Agency officials said the problems continued throughout the day.

It's not the first time that software issues have pledged the Department of Driver Services. In June, commercial drivers at the former Hapeville location were turned away for a couple of days because of another computer problem.

Officials say they're working on the problem and hoped to have it fixed by Wednesday.
