The boys soccer playoff quarterfinals took place Friday night on high school campuses around the state. Here are some recaps of those games.

In a Class AAAAA boys soccer quarterfinal, host Centennial convincingly defeated Mill Creek 3-1 Friday night. The No. 1 seed from Region 6 benefited from a hat trick by Connor Davis, as the senior captain scored twice in the first half and once in the second.
All three of Davis’s goals were assisted by Ryan Spence on throw-ins. Tajay Hoppines scored the Hawks’ lone goal in the 23rd minute to tie the game at one.
Centennial will host Parkview on Tuesday in the semifinals.
Class AAAAA
Brookwood 4, Lassiter 2: The Broncos scored four second-half goals after Lassiter’s Shaban Abousaud gave the visiting Trojans a 1-0 half-time lead. Malik Jalal scored the go-ahead goal for Brookwood with less than seven minutes to play.
Parkview 3, Walton 2: The visiting Panthers scored with 12 seconds left in overtime to advance to the semifinals. Abel Nguyen sent the game to overtime with 11:35 left in regulation. Jonathon Jarrett also scored for Parkview.
GIRLS
Northview 2, Brookwood 0: Chrisa Zadharopoulos scored midway through the first half for the host Titans while Avery Sager added another in the second. Goalie Taylor Erickson saved several free kicks to preserve the shutout.
Class AAAA
Greenbrier 4, Tucker 0: Reed Norton netted three goals as host Greenbrier advanced to the semifinals. Luke Waechter and Norton each provided a first-half goal to give the Wolf Pack a 2-0 lead at the break.
Lambert 3, McIntosh 0: Bakawsu Kinteh scored twice while Bobby Hopper scored once as the host Longhorns advanced to the semifinals. Lambert goalie Michael Zambetti had eight saves.
Marist 3, Glynn Academy 1: Junior Henry Chancy scored three goals as the War Eagles scored a home win over Glynn Academy. Chancy found the netting twice after the Red Terrors had tied the game early in the second half.
Starr’s Mill 3, Northwest Whitfield 2: The host Panthers survived two late yellow-red penalties and a goal by visiting Northwest Whitfield with less than three minutes remaining to advance. Patrick Spencer, David Murtaugh and Jack Gayton scored for Starr’s Mill.
Class AAA
Carrollton 2, Dalton 1: Goalie Dylan Hobert stopped eight of nine shots to lead the host Trojans to victory. Kevin Sosa and Homero Perez scored for Carrollton. Ramiro Huitanda scored for the Catamounts.
Gainesville 4, Columbus 0: The Red Elephants scored early on a free kick by Aiden Reising after a red card ejection was called on visiting Columbus. Yunis Yanes, Ricardo Gomez and Roman Arriaga added scores for Gainesville.

St. Pius 1, Southeast Whitfield 0: Alex Kowalski broke a scoreless tie by burying a penalty kick with less than five minutes remaining before halftime, giving the visiting Golden Lions the lead. Ryan Beck earned the shutout in net for St. Pius.

Woodward Academy 5, Mary Persons 0: Woodward Academy jumped out to an early 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Bayard Geeslin and Jose Garcia. The War Eagles received second-half goals from Joshua Cohen, Enrique Guerra and Aidan Gould.

Class AA
Greater Atlanta Christian 2, North Oconee 1 OT: Nash Wagnon tied the game for the host Spartans with 9:45 remaining to force overtime. Vishal Patel then added the game winner with 3:26 remaining in the second overtime to secure the victory for Greater Atlanta Christian.
Lovett 5, East Hall 1: The visiting Lions struck twice in the first half on goals by Wes Haley and Andrew Kring to lead 2-0 at the break. Kyler Allen scored twice in the second half and Harrison Leeson added a goal as well.

Class A
Aquinas 3, Our Lady of Mercy 2: The Fighting Irish tied the game at 2-2, with just two minutes left, then scored the go-ahead goal before the buzzer for a comeback victory at home to defeat the Bobcats.

Atlanta International 3, Riverside Military 2, OT: Atlanta International benefited from a pair of penalty kicks to knock off the visiting Riverside Military in overtime. Riverside’s Zach Wunderlich sent the game to overtime with 35 seconds left in regulation.

Paideia 5, Hebron Christian 1: The Pythons scores just three minutes into the game and led 2-0 at halftime behind goals from Robert Hines and Gustavo Martinez. Hines scored three goals and Sam Tatum had a goal as well.

Providence Christian 2, Savannah Christian 0: After a scoreless first half, Providence Christian senior Joshua Platillero opened up the scoring with a goal in the 46th minute. Will Lowndes added a second tally to help the Stars return to the semifinals.
