The Macon Telegraph reports that Ron Goldsby, chief administrative officer and comptroller at the fairgrounds, said Wednesday that total revenue for the Georgia National Fair was $4,562,500, a decrease of $107,000.
Goldsby spoke at the Georgia Agricultural Exposition Authority board meeting.
He says there are bright spots. The fair broke records in attendance October 6th, October 7th and October 8th. Total attendance was 233,663 from October 6th to the 16th, compared with last year's 258,768.
Meanwhile, the Georgia National Fair concert series this year broke records, generating nearly $150,000.
The board approved going forward with plans to update the old horse barn by pouring new concrete and fixing stalls.
