Immigrant rights groups are preparing for more immigration enforcement in a north Atlanta suburb.

The "287g" program, so called for the section of immigration law that governs it, allows local officers to identify, pick up and detain illegal immigrants. It's about to take effect in Gwinnett County.

Activists say it will lead to racial profiling, so they’re educating people about their rights, pushing for anti-racial profiling laws, and setting up a legal defense fund for detainees.
