Georgia is among the top 11 states with most opioid overdose deaths, and 55 Georgia counties have an overdose rate higher than the national average. Overdose rates this year are on the rise nationwide, and right here in Georgia. According to Georgia state health officials, fentanyl-related opioid overdose deaths increased by 61% between March-June 2020.
