Next week, GPB celebrates the 20th anniversary of the most-watched cooking show on public television, and embarks on a Jazz Age journey of self-discovery with someone Masterpiece fans will definitely recognize. Take a look below at what we’ve got coming up.


America’s Test Kitchen 20th Anniversary Special – Sunday, November 24 at 7 PM

Fans around the country voted for their all-time favorite recipes, now the results will be presented in this anniversary special. Cast members including Bridget Lancaster, Julia Collin Davison, Jack Bishop and Adam Ried count down the series’ 20 most popular recipes and look back on moments from the show’s two decades on air.


The Chaperone on Masterpiece – Sunday, November 24 at 9 PM

The star, writer, and director of Downton Abbey the series and film reunite in The Chaperone, chronicling a Jazz-age quest for personal fulfillment by two markedly different women. Elizabeth McGovern stars as Norma Carlisle, the diffident chaperone to fellow Kansan, Louise Brooks, destined to become a 1920s sex symbol.


College Behind Bars – Monday, November 25 – Tuesday, November 26, 9 PM

This new four-part film reveals the transformative power of higher education through the experiences of incarcerated men and women. College Behind Bars takes viewers on a stark and emotionally intense journey into one of the most pressing issues of our time - our failure to provide meaningful rehabilitation for the millions of Americans living behind bars.


NOVA: Animal Espionage – Wednesday, November 27 at 9 PM

How do you study an animal you can't even get close to? Camera traps and drones are revolutionizing wildlife biology by recording the secret lives of animals—from whales and tigers to elusive giant armadillos—all without disturbing them.


PBS NewsHour Presents: The Plastic Problems – Wednesday, November 27 at 10 PM

By 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans. PBS NewsHour takes a closer look at this now ubiquitous material, how it's impacting the world and ways we can break our plastic addiction.


A Classic Christmas (My Music) – Thursday, November 28 at 9 PM

Join hosts Gavin MacLeod (The Love Boat) and Marion Ross (Happy Days) for this festive, all-star special of favorite carols and popular standards. Performers include Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Judy Garland, Nat King Cole, The Carpenters and many more.
