A few times a year, we go on the air with traditional radio fund drives to ask for your support. It’s one of the most effective ways to reach you and cover the costs of the programs you hear. As you probably know, that means taking time away from the programs you come to GPB to hear.

As we were planning GPB’s Spring Radio Fund Drive a while back, we talked about trying something new. What if we just air short messages asking for support instead of interrupting the programming?  Should we take the risk?  Knowing how often we hear what public radio means to so many of you, we decided to launch GPB’ Stealth Drive, this less disruptive campaign you’ve been hearing about. 

But here’s the thing: it will only work when listeners like you support GPB in the same way you would during a traditional drive. We’re now passed the halfway mark for the number of days of the drive, but we’ve not yet reached the halfway mark in terms of the critical funding that keeps the programs and services GPB provides going strong.

We’re counting on you to show your support for innovative radio and our efforts to keep traditional on-air fundraising to a minimum!  And if you’ve already done your part, thank you!
