Are you looking for a break from the burning hot Georgia temperatures this summer? Or how about a distraction from the rainy summer evenings, when the weather won’t cooperate with your outdoor plans? This late spring and upcoming summer we have a slate of new dramas and mysteries scheduled to air that will keep you occupied especially on Sunday nights.

Here’s a brief guide to what to look forward to:

It wouldn’t be Sunday nights on GPB without a little bit of drama. For those missing Matthew Goode on Downton Abbey, you’ll be glad to know that Dancing on the Edge begins June 26th. Starring Matthew Goode and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the main roles, Dancing on the Edge follows the career path of a black jazz band in 1930s London and the journalist determined to make them famous. Scandal with the upper class ensues and the friendship between both men is tested. Jenna Coleman and John Goodman co-star in the show.

There will be plenty of mysteries to solve this summer as well. The 10 part miniseries, The Tunnel is a contemporary murder mystery beginning June 19th. After a woman is found dead in the tunnel connecting England and France, both an English detective (Stephen Dillane) and a French detective (Clémence Poésy) team up to find the culprit. As they grow close to the solution and each other, they discover the killer has a moral agenda to bring to light a social problem with each crime. This series is a collaboration between French and UK television studios.

Fan favorites Endeavour and Inspector Lewis also return. Endeavour Morse enters the 1960s with new cases involving magic tricks and kidnapping ransom. Inspector Lewis will also solve his last cases in the final season of the mystery series, including a case steeped in archaeology and an art performance turned crime confession. Endeavour premieres June 19th and Inspector Lewis premieres August 7th.
