Students and families watch a special Molly of Denali read along and episode.

To honor Native American and Alaska Native Heritage Month, families and students gathered to watch a special "Molly of Denali" pre-recorded storytime and episode. When the theme song started, kids sang along, which added to the excitement of what was to come. After the screening, teachers said they appreciate how the show exposes kids to Alaska Native culture visually. One student reflected, "My favorite part was seeing the sled dogs."

Library staff set up books to inspire further exploration. Teachers checked books out to share with the class back at school.

Participants were given a copy of the "Molly of Denali: Little Dog Lost" book and learning activities. We encouraged students to do the activities at home with their families.
