The community gathered at GPB on April 10 to watch the film Matter of Mind: My Parkinson's.  The film's intimate portrayal of three people living with Parkinson's shows how unique the disease is for each person experiencing it.  After the film, attendees discussed questions about Parkinson's with Dr. Wichmann from the Morris K. Udall Center of Excellence for Parkinson's Disease Research, and Marie Head, Georgia Chapter President of the Parkinson's Foundation.  There were many resources people could take home with them to learn more about Parkinson's and the community and resources available to them in Georgia.

This screening was part of the Indie Lens Pop Up Series.  Indie Lens Pop-Up is a neighborhood series that brings people together for film screenings and community-driven conversations. Featuring documentaries seen on PBS’s Independent Lens, Indie Lens Pop-Up draws local residents, leaders, and organizations to discuss what matters most, from newsworthy topics and social issues, to family and community relationships.
