Joseph Wheeler High School was established in 1965. The campus is located in Marietta and is home to the Wildcats. Besides being known for their exceptional academic program, Wheeler offers their students the opportunity to be involved in various social and athletic programs such as football, cheerleading, soccer, Art club, Drama club and Band. So, “Hey, Did You Know”… that Wheeler ranked in the top 5 percent of the best High Schools in America by Newsweek Magazine in 2007?* Did you also know that the Wildcats were named No. 3 in the top 32 high schools in Georgia in 2006 by Atlanta Magazine?! With impressive academic programs like Wheeler, I believe that we will be seeing them recognized in many more magazines soon.

George Walton Comprehensive High School was established in 1975, is located in Marietta, and is home to the Raiders. A school rich in tradition and individualism, it offers its students plenty of activities to choose from such as athletics and academic and social clubs. “Hey, Did You Know” … that Walton has been a Georgia School of Excellence since 1984 when the award was first created? Also, did you know that Walton is a potential Hollywood gold mine! Sections of the movie “Dumb and Dumber when Harry Met Lloyd” were filmed in the Walton auto shop, science rooms and cafeteria!** So, hey, do you think the third edition of Dumb and Dumber will make a special appearance at Walton again? Let’s hope so.
