Ken Burns' Country Music - Sunday, September 15 at 8 PM

Master documentary filmmaker Ken Burns explores the rich history of a uniquely American art form with the new eight-part, 16-hour film Country Music. Trace the evolution of the genre from ballads, blues and hymns to worldwide popularity with never-before-seen footage and interviews with more than 80 artists. The series will air from Sunday through Wednesday begining on September 15, and you can also binge the entire series on GPB Passport beginning the day it premieres. Get ready for a new pre-game routine as GPB Connect presents the very best or our original programming, featuring segments that connect the people and places of Georgia. Hosted by GPB Radio’s Rickey Bevington and Larry Smith, from GPB Sports and CNN, this half-hour newsmagazine will air weekly at 7 PM, followed by Football Fridays at 7:30.
