I have been very lucky as the Fast Forward P.A. to get to travel all over the great state of Georgia and see all that is has to offer. The most rewarding part of this whole experience is getting to meet amazing people who get to live out their passions every day and call it their profession.

Until a couple of weeks ago, I had never been to Bluffton, GA. For those of you who have never been, they have a population of 108 and they are all good at poker... Although Bluffton may be a small town, it is home to an amazing family farm which is doing very BIG things.

White Oak Pastures is owned and run by Will Harris and his wonderful family who have now kept White Oak running for five generations. After talking to Will and his daughter Jenni; it is obvious that their love for White Oak is in their blood. You also don't have to be a Harris to be family at White Oak. Will personally knows all 80+ of his employees and even feeds them lunch everyday. As a recent college grad, I am seriously considering the move to free-lunch land. However, I don't think I have the stamina or upper-body strength to be able to deserve that lunch.

After going on both Will and Jenni's tour of the farm, I have to say that there are some really cool things going on over at White Oak! First off, White Oak is one of the few farms in Georgia that are 100% organic certified and their growing practices are all focused around environmental sustainability. The coolest part of White Oak Pastures has to be their top priority of ensuring animal welfare on the pastures. Will has even worked personally with Temple Grandin to create the most natural living conditions for all of the animals on the farm or as Farmer Will likes to say, "Cows were born to roam and graze. Hogs were born to root and wallow. Chickens were born to scratch and peck."

I have to be totally honest to my wonderful readers... I may have mislead you with my earlier comments... I must admit, I personally find one thing to be the coolest part of White Oak Pastures and that is their plethora of... PUPPIES! No joke folks, White Oak has puppies EVERYWHERE! Walk into the lobby... BOOM! PUPPY!

Sit down in Will's office... ANOTHER PUPPY!

Riding around with Jenni on the pasture... find out they use adorable GREAT PYRENEES to protect their animals!

Once I finally arrive to Jenni's house and assume that the puppy train has come to a stop... PUPPIES GALORE. Jenni had so many puppies that she was giving them away like Oprah. PUPPY OPRAH... She was PUPRAH people!

I would really like to thank the Harris family and their whole crew at White Oak Pastures for being such gracious hosts and if the day comes that all the puppies at White Oak have disappeared then you all will know that my dream of running away to Jamaica has come true...
