If you live in Savannah, you’ve probably seen Scott Stanton’s paintings. Working under the name Panhandle Slim, the artist pairs bright portraits of notable people with handwritten quotes by those people. An exhibit at Sulfur Studios features 46 of those portraits. He talked with GPB’s Emily Jones about what he hopes people take away from the show.

The Panhandle Slim exhibit opens at Sulfur Studios as part of September's First Friday Art March. It runs through next week.
