If you get onto the Truman Parkway from President Street you’ll need to find an alternate route. The turn lane onto the Truman from eastbound President Street is closing today as part of the ongoing project aimed at making the street less prone to flooding.

The closure is expected to last the duration of the the 30-month project, according to a statement from the city.

Drivers can still access the Truman from westbound President Street. Anyone looking to take the Truman from the downtown Savannah area will be detoured down Wheaton Street.
