Six Billion dollars is the amount the film and television industry brings to Georgia.

Gov. Nathan Deal's office released new data Thursday on the state's fiscal year that ended June 30th.

According to the release, the tally includes 248 film and television productions shot last year.100 new businesses have relocated or expanded in Georgia to support the industry.

42 shows and movies are currently in production in Georgia.

The upcoming blockbuster Ant-Man employed 3,500 Georgians, spent more than $100 million, and used more than 22,000 hotel rooms. Many of the film's scenes featured well-known Atlanta buildings and streets.
