Some Georgians could see a big jump in their health insurance premiums in 2016. The federal government has released data for plans offered on the state’s health insurance marketplace.

Insurers such as BlueCross, Aetna, Kaiser, and Humana have proposed hikes between 10 and 20 percent. Final rates will be released in the fall. Assistant Insurance Commissioner Jay Florence tells Georgia Health News that the state will review the numbers and reject increases it deems excessive.
