State lawmakers face a major deadline by the end of the week, as the 2015 legislative session heads into its final stretch.

Friday, March 13 is crossover day. That is when bills must pass in one chamber in order to stand a chance of getting approved in the other.

Thursday, House lawmakers approved a multi-million dollar transportation funding package while the Senate passed Gov. Nathan Deal’s plan to take over failing schools.

But other bills have yet to receive a vote--including measures dealing with medical cannabis, regulations for ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft, and changes to early voting.

The Senate has yet to pass the state budget as well.

The 2015 session will adjourn on April 2.
