Hot Topic 1:
Macon Bibb officials have been meeting to talk about their top priorities.

County Manager Dale Walker has named five priorities that he and Mayor Robert Reichert consider key for the next six months. Those include: working on the Second Street Corridor, improving the airports, tackling blighted buildings, finishing a recreation master plan, and seeing action on a Riverside Drive site touted for major development but tainted by old industrial contaminants.

Do these priorities set up Macon Bibb to attract people to this community to work and live? Richardson says yes and points to Columbus, Georgia where they are in the process of consolidating. “They have planned out their SPLOST and priorities since 1994. That’s how they have a world class softball stadium that they held the Olympics in. If we follow their example, while we may not see everything come at once, we’ll see it come in order.”

Hot Topic 2:
Are Americans having a crisis in confidence in federal government agencies?

After a major breach in security at the White House, followed by news of President Obama riding on an elevator with an armed felon while in Atlanta visiting the CDC, many folks are wondering just how secure is the President of the United States and his family.
