-Savannah Voice Festival presents Opera Idol: A Competitive Audition. It’s a light-hearted family-friendly event at the Westin that turns an audition into a fun learning experience for participants (competing for prizes) and audience members. Judges are Voice Experience faculty and friends. Friday, 5-7 p.m.; $18

-You’ve got one last chance to catch PAULA DEEN LIVE at the Lucas: Savannah's southern celebrity chef, and her husband Michael, share stories and demonstrate how to make her favorite seasonal dishes, including new recipes featuring Spring Mountain Farms chickens. Friday, 7 p.m.; $49-$205

-Iconic ice cream parlor Leopold’s celebrates its 95th birthday Saturday with a block party in the middle of Broughton Street. Cake at 3pm. 95 cent ice cream cones all day. Entertainment includes storytelling, singing, and dance on the street stage. Saturday, 12-8:30 p.m.; free

-The Savannah Sand Gnats take on Greenville Drive, then wrap up with a big bang or two with a post-game fireworks display. Saturday, 6:05 p.m.; $8 Gen. Adm.

-Start your Friday the relaxing way with yoga on Tybee’s North Beach Friday morning - and every Wednesday and Friday through the end of August. Bring your own mat and a suggested donation. Friday, 7 a.m.

-The ever-popular Forsyth Farmers Market will celebrate International Can-it-Forward Day Saturday, featuring a Discover You Can workshop with instructor Jennifer West DuVall. Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., workshop at 11 a.m.; free

-Enjoy some family-friendly fun with a screening of “Despicable Me 2” in Memorial Park on Tybee, starting at sunset. Saturday, 8:30-10 p.m.; free
